Overview

Human language competency covers the acquisition, proficiency, and application of natural languages — from conversational fluency through technical translation and linguistic analysis. Each language is assessed across the four CEFR skills: reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

Industry Frameworks

  • CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) — A1 through C2 proficiency scale

  • DELE/SIELE — Spanish language certification

  • Cambridge English — English proficiency

  • ACTFL Guidelines — American language proficiency scale
