Process

  1. Gather device characteristics

  2. Create parent profile (if needed)

  3. Define conditions

  4. Set certainty factors

  5. Test with sample devices

  6. Monitor and refine

Example: Custom Medical Device

Name: Medical-Infusion-Pump
Parent: Medical-Device
Minimum Certainty: 10

Conditions:
  DHCP:Vendor Class CONTAINS "Baxter"
  OR MAC:OUI EQUALS "00:1E:8F"

Endpoint Group: Medical-Devices

Testing

  1. Connect sample device

  2. Check Context Visibility > Endpoints

  3. Verify profile assignment

  4. Adjust conditions if needed
