2026-03: Don Quijote as Comprehensible Input
Situation: Traditional textbook study hit a plateau around B1. Switched to reading Don Quijote with parallel modern Spanish and etymological analysis.
Context: DELE C1 preparation, literature-based acquisition
The Pattern: Reading authentic literature (even centuries old) with support materials (modern Spanish paraphrase, etymology notes) is more effective than textbook exercises at advanced levels. The complexity forces pattern recognition rather than rule memorization.
Principle: At B2+, acquisition comes from massive comprehensible input in meaningful context, not from grammar drills. Cervantes is harder but more generative than any textbook.
